For me, writing stories and books has been (and always will be) both a great test of
patience and an even greater source of pleasure. In the case of fan fiction, such as these
Crow stories, this is even more true, because you are writing not for personal gain, but for
personal satisfaction. As many overpaid and overrated professional writers churn out
mediocre story after mediocre story, it is the examples here that show that fan fiction is
where the true soul of writing is.
While those overrated writers earn their big fat pay cheques in the knowledge that millions
of people will read their books, the writers of the stories here (myself included) will never
have that satisfaction as it relates to the works featured here. If even one hundred people
read these stories, we, the authors will be happy.
These are true labours of love, the works of people who have poured their souls into their
work. Read them, enjoy them, and always remember that if you don't read our words, we
will write anyway.
