He laughs at a reflection
Grim it is
Nothing more than an empty recollection
Of what is truly missed
A white face pale with death
Contoured with shadow's smile
Innocence exiled since a last breath
Continuance, upon continuance of denial
Reapers dance atop his corpse
An end is refused
Scythes wield neither mercy nor remorse
Eternal damnation leaves him bemused
Reveling in lakes of tears
A dark angel of redemption
The realization of buried fears
Awaits a winged descension
The crow, a loyal guide
Crooning,perched above fate
Sanity in an otherwise mad mind
Death's avenger circles a holy gate
As black night swallows day
The crow awakens righteousness
Glorious vengeance is the way
From out a soul of restlessness
Seeking those who have sinned
Wreaking carnage in a scarlet fury
Evil sinks and gasps in pools of crimson
Hell is their greatest of worries
Lead barrages pierce through innards
Blades splice into stale flesh
Yet he towers, while demons wither
Justice his only quest
One, then another
They are the damned deceased
In dismemberment, torn asunder
Steps toward grand release
Soon the last is slain
The blood of revenge
Torrential red rain
Flows beyond cries edge
Now all is calm
The unwillfully departed
Minds now solemn
Into flames they are discarded
Appears a beckoning raven
The transcendence of endless pain
Welcomes him into the new haven
At last begins, a peaceful reign |
